Beyond the box with Google's Web API

bacaartikeldisiniaja -- Google, which many say is the most popular and best search engine, offers many options to help searchers find exactly what they are looking for. These search modifier features are documented on their own website, but many searchers, including experienced marketers and tech-savvy people, are unaware that these features are available. I simply don't know... but these features only allow a human searcher who can enter search parameters and possibly some keyboard script programs along with the Google search box.

But there is a way for programmers and website designers to access her Google database in the way she wants from her website. This is done via Google's Web API (Application Program Interface). APIs allow programmers to use almost any web programming language, including PHP, ASP, Perl, .NET, and Java. Google's Web API provides "data hooks" that allow remote programs to easily access specific parts of Google.

You should be familiar with the Google Web API Terms of Service. You will need to purchase a developer key each time you use the API. You can only create 1,000 automated queries per day. And, perhaps most importantly, you may not use the Google APIs for commercial purposes. It is intended for your personal use only and, of course, must not violate any law or copyright protection.

Google provides developer kits. Data exchange between Google and the application program is done via an XML structure, so the results from Google are relatively easy to parse, even for developers with some experience. If you have problems or questions, Google provides links to help, references, and FAQs. If you need further assistance, you can find help and discussion in one of our various forums. Just search on Google - use the search box.
