My grandmother likes to remind me that it feels like it was just yesterday that she went to college. Virtually unheard of for women of her generation. and I went to the same university and studied in the same building. But despite these college experiences we share, I believe that the way colleges work today is markedly different than it did then. should be reworked into the words "download, type, eBay".
If you're wondering what's changed since you went to college, let me outline tools designed to leverage new technology to help teachers teach and students learn better. You could call it "blackboard learning".

Blackboard Technology is an online resource where teachers and students can share resources, interact, and find information about the courses they are enrolled in. After students enroll in courses using Blackboard Learning, they can access a customizable portal page that lists the courses they are enrolled in from their college or college website. Each course includes several individual online resources that students can use to succeed in their course.
In the past, teachers had to photocopy all handouts and give them to students, or write everything the students needed to know on the blackboard, and the students had to copy it. The former is a waste of paper and ink, the latter a waste of time. Blackboard technology allows teachers to upload digital copies of handouts that students can download and print as needed. Make class notes, PowerPoint presentations, video and audio clips, images, and other resources available to the entire class by simply uploading them to Blackboard.
This virtually eliminates the problem of students losing their syllabus and other important course documents, as there is always an online copy that students can access at any time.
Blackboard Learning includes an online gradebook. Professors simply update student grades as new quizzes, tests, or assignments are graded, and aggregated scores are provided to students. This feature allows students to track exactly where they are during the semester and saves teachers time by not having to answer questions about what students got for their homework. The gradebook also allows students and professors to review their notes to ensure the correct grade is recorded for each assignment.
Between classes, homework, extracurricular activities, and road trips, students don't always find time to meet on campus to study or work on group projects. Online forums, discussion groups, and chat rooms add a humane touch to Blackboard learning. Students can post questions about various assignments and concepts for other students and professors to answer. The professor may conduct her online discussions outside of class to complement the lectures given during class hours. Why blackboard learning?
If you submit a handwritten financial report or use handwritten graphics in your pitch, you probably won't get the same reaction as if you typed out the report or designed the graphic on the computer. Like it or not (I love it!), technology isn't just here to stay, it's fully integrated into almost everything we do. Education is no exception. The paper is typed. The survey will be conducted online. PowerPoint has replaced overhead projectors.
