Building a Computer
Most people assume the new computer is a Dell or Gateway. Few people (except techies) know that Dell and Gateway skimp on the parts inside their computers. What's left are third-rate computers that are more expensive than they need to be.

First you need to gather the parts you need to boot your computer...

1. Motherboard - This is the important part where all the other components of your computer come into play. If you're building a good computer, you'll want a PCI Express slot for your Killer (2005) graphics card, plenty of RAM slots for storage, good bus speeds for fast processing, and 2-4 suitable for your computer. Look for a board with a USB 2.0 slot for Digital cameras, printers, etc. The motherboard is processor dependent (different CPUs require different types).

2. CPU - Currently the main brands are Intel and AMD. Everyone has their own opinion, but AMD offers more money. Choose Athlon 64 model and socket 759 or 939 motherboard. Not too expensive and good value for money. If you're a bit more stable Intel fan, opt for the Pentium 4 and Socket 775 board.

3. RAM - again depends on the motherboard. Higher ranks are generally better, but more expensive. Use at least two sticks with 512 MB DDR RAM.

4. Hard drives - always cheaper. If you want something to last, SATA is a must, and 100-200 GB is recommended.

Five. Chassis - full tower if you're interested in a server class computer (very powerful and easy to upgrade), or medium tower for standard PCs. They're usually the perfect size to store, with plenty of space for easy upgrades later.

6. Monitor - Use a 17" or 19" LCD monitor. They are much sharper than CTS (boxy ones) and don't clutter your desk. 7. Keyboard and Mouse - No problem unless you like first person shooters. If not, buy the cheaper one. An additional option is to go wireless to reduce congestion. If you love FPS games, opt for a comfortable and lightweight wired optical mouse with less lag. That's all you need to build a computer, but you also have the option of buying a "Windows, Mac, Linux" operating system, a CD/DVD drive, an Ethernet card, a floppy drive, a printer, and a digital camera. Such

Second, you have to put all the pieces together. Too much information to fit in one article, but http:
