catching spyware

bacaartikeldisiniaja -- Optimizing your computer against spyware is an important step in protecting your personal security and private information. Statistics on identity theft victims are growing, as is the number of computers infected with spyware. Some statistics show that 9 out of 10 computers are affected by spyware, suggesting that many computers are infected with spyware that users are unaware of.

Identity theft and spyware are related. Because spyware has become a popular way for intruders to collect personal information and bank numbers to commit identity theft.

Spyware installs itself or installs free shareware programs. Once embedded in your computer, it tracks your Internet and software usage, logs sent and received emails and instant messages, logs keystrokes and identifies passwords and credit card numbers.

This information is then sent to advertisers and other intruders who use it to send advertisements to your computer or, worse, steal your account and gain access.

Once spyware is installed, you can often lose complete control of your computer. Spyware can cause browser crashes and other unauthorized changes to your computer. Unsolicited pop-ups caused by spyware can slow down your computer and crash some programs.

To remove spyware and protect yourself, you need special spyware tools. Because standard antivirus software is not designed to detect spyware, it is only good for viruses.

Spyware should also be able to detect adware, a similar application that runs on your computer and sends a constant stream of pop-ups. Adware can interfere with the proper functioning of your computer.
